GAINING TRACTION

A workshop for people who have recently completed an addiction treatment program.

Note: This is not a clinical program, nor is it to be substituted for an intensive outpatient program.

This 4-day workshop is designed specifically for people who have recently completed an addiction treatment program for either substance addictions (alcohol/drugs) or process addictions (gambling, food addiction, sex addiction, etc.).

In this 4-day workshop, we help clients identify the core emotional addictions (to security, sensation, power-control and suffering) inherited through familial and cultural imprints that make us vulnerable to relapse into substance and/or process addictions. We pay particular attention to the challenges presented in the early months of recovery from dependencies and provide tools (both left brain and right brain tools; cognitive as well as intuitive) to sustain the insights and progress gained during treatment programs.

We guide clients through exercises that develop ease in intervening with ruminations, triggers, and the addiction interaction disorder by which one compulsive behavior is replaced with another.

Through this workshop, clients early in recovery from substance and/or process addictions gain traction in their recovery by deepening their emotional awareness and acquiring tools to sustain emotional resilience and sobriety.
